Welcome to the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate in Limpopo, one of the most versatile regions of South Africa. Blessed with pretty much the best climate on earth and a myriad of attractions, this is the perfect place to explore South Africa and return back to every time.

The Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate is a unique estate, 680 ha in size with 24/7 security. Contrary to most other lodges in the estate, Bushbaby River Lodge is situated on the exclusive and therefore most beautiful part of the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate with a separate, private entrance.

Animals like the giraffe, kudu, zebra, bushbuck, warthog, duiker, impala, waterbuck, wildebeest, genet, civet, jackal, porcupine and name sake of the lodge, the bushbaby, are all frequently spotted visitors in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. We now and then even spot the leopard! The other big 4 are not present in the estate, so visitors can safely explore the estate on foot, by bike (we rent out mountain bikes), on horseback (there is a stable on the estate) or car.

The estate has several walking trails, two mountain bike tracks (in total 37 km) and several game drive tracks for you to explore. There is also a fish dam and several bird hides by the water dams in the estate.

From mountains to valleys, amazing panoramas, rivers, waterfalls and bush veld, close to world renowned attractions like Kruger National Park and Blyde River Canyon: Bushbaby River Lodge is close to all fabulous sights and just 10 minutes from the centre of Hoedspruit.

Boasting a picturesque view of the Mariepskop, part of the Drakensberg, and many nature reserves like the Kruger Park and Blyde River Canyon just around the corner, Hoedspruit is a fun and laid back tourist place. It is a convenient place to stay, to restock on groceries and to find the perfect souvenir or eat out in one of the many good restaurants.

The airport of Hoedspruit is just 15 minutes away, with direct connections to Johannesburg and Cape Town.
